As a part of Platige Image & Treyarch team I've had the chance to work on intro cinematic for Call of Duty Black OPS 6 zombies as an art director on Platige side. Biggest credit goes to all artists who worked hard to achieve these amazing results. For me personally it's a big honor to be a small part of it all, since making FPS games of this kind was my dream since childhood - MoHAA and COD 1.
-----------
Action takes place in 1991 on Terminus island, which is first zombie map in game. Some characters are well known as Peck, Weaver or Elizabeth Grey; during scene we're being introduced to new character - Maya - and later in-game to her brother - or whatever he turned into.
We've managed to hide some easter eggs in shot inside Weaver's cell and carvings on his wall - seeing community speculating after annoucnement about these and coming up with various teories really made me happy.
-----------
Inspiration for lighting in guards room and middle section of cinematic came from some scenes from Fight Club (1999).
