EVR-5

Large space shuttle design devloped recently for Everdome with retrofuturistic vibe. This beast is meant to carry 400 passangers from Earth to Mars. During early concept phase many options were considered, regarind VTOL and VTHL, which was crucial decision with spacecraft carrying such mind-bogglig number of passengers.

Two concepts made it to the second phase - one similiar to XB-70 Valkyrie and some soveit era concepts and second one, resebling the Sierras Nevada "Dream Chaser" an Lockheed-Martin X-33; second made it to the final phase. Whole spaceship consists of the 1st stage booster, which comes back to earth or space-tanker in orbit and 2nd stage crewed shuttle.

Chosen variant has fuselage shape optimised for more effective heat shielding as it's meant to carry multiple, consecutive missions and Mars landings. We decided to use aerospike engines with additional scramjet boosters in the wings. (Fun fact - idea for it's wing shape came from belly shaping of the capsules like Orion or Dragon and then I found about Dream Chaser, which looks practically the same).
